From October 23 to November 2, 2025, the Mooby Aribau Cinema is the epicentre of this event, Lovers of documentary film come together to share stories, ideas and passions. This emblematic setting in Barcelona will become the meeting point of a community based on a love of music and cinema, consolidating this event as a unique platform to discover new talent, revisit musical icons and explore innovative narratives that transcend screens.

Every year, In-Edit presents a selection of documentaries that explore the relationship between music and society. The programming includes not only biographies of renowned artists, but also pieces that reveal lesser-known but equally fascinating stories. Documentaries address themes such as the origins of iconic instruments, political movements linked to music and the influence of certain songs in different eras.
In previous editions, the festival has projected jewels such as 20 Feet from ‘Stardom’, which gives voice to the chorists behind some of the great hits of rock and soul, ‘Searching for Sugar Man’, which rediscovers the history of Sixto Rodríguez; ‘Eno’, an innovative piece about producer Brian Eno that changes in each projection thanks to generative software; or ‘Soundtrack to a Coup by État’, nominated for an Oscars in the best best documentary category.

A sustainable and inclusive festival
In In-Edit, audiovisual is also a tool for social transformation. In 2024, they joined the Acció Cinema program, an initiative to promote critical and mobilized citizenship through cinema. Within this framework, the Feeding Hope project began. This is an initiative by the European Union Humanitarian Aid Office to combat hunger. In addition, 10% of the revenue goes to the Arrels Foundation, which since 1987 has offered support to more than 4,800 homeless people.
For years, In-Edit has been working to reduce its ecological footprint, implementing measures aligned with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. This translates into action such as the use of reusable cups and crockery, 95% of printed media is now in digital format. An emphasis is placed on local production wherever possible so collaboration with local producers is key. Sustainable transport is also prioritized, the train for national guests and direct flights for international guests.
The festival strives to guarantee an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. Subtitling and audio description have been implemented in some screenings, access for people with reduced mobility has been enhanced and special sessions adapted to vulnerable groups are held. The aim is to make an open space, where passion for musical cinema can be shared without barriers.
