Gustavo Dudamel introduces classical music to new audiences and publics wherever he goes, and he is currently the music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. He has conducted more than 30 operas at such important venues as the Los Angeles Opera, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Staatsopers in Vienna and Berlin, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

Formed in 1904, the LSO was one of the first orchestras to be founded by its own musicians, and since then countless generations have kept up its reputation for impeccable quality and an inspiring repertoire.
