Ludovic Morlot opens a new cycle of the OBC

After seven years of performing under the baton of Kazushi Ono, this new 2022-2023 season presents a new director at the head of the OBC (Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya). The Frenchman, Ludovic Morlot, director emeritus of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, with whom they made nearly twenty recordings, some recognized with five Grammy awards.

In the conductor’s extensive curriculum we also find the direction of orchestras such as the Boston Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Royal Concertbouw or the London Philharmonic.

During the presentation of Morlot last May, Robert Brufau -director of L’ Auditori- described his appointment as placing the orchestra on the international map to defend symphonic music of the 21st century.
