Leonora and Manrico, a couple who personify freedom and idealism, are doomed by jealousy and the threat of power. Leonora becomes an immortal heroine condemned to sacrifice. An outstanding cast led by Saoia Hernández, Vittorio Grigolo, Juan Jesús Rodríguez and Ksenia Dudnikova, perform in this story of love and revenge in the lands of Aragon in the 15th century.

The production by Àlex Ollé for the Paris Opera, inspired by the First World War, portrays the consequences of a war between brothers in which irrational actions leave no room for reflection.
